Right-o.

Today, I took the last pill in my first cycle of Microgynon 30. Let's review, shall we?

In the past month...

-I have mostly been in an absolutely shocking mood of RAGE. Fortunately, it's been a good month, all things considered, which means I haven't actively killed anyone with my RAGE. BAD THING.

-I had about a week of wanting to cry like a girl and often doing so for no good reason. BAD THING.

-My skin has, in terms of acne, improved. However, my skin has gone very dry and moisturiser gies me spots. Still, they're nowhere as bad as they usually are. GOOD THING.

-At the very beginning, my PMT went backwards and I got some very odd cramps and stuff. BAD THING.

-This has completely disappeared, however, and considering I'm due a period in a few days... GOOD THING.

-I have gone up about half a cup size. NEUTRAL THING. I have yet to decide if I'm pleased with this or not.

-I am eating a lot. BAD THING. It's settled down now, though.

-I got metaquoted! Best side effect EVER! (And on that subject, my sex drive has yet to go away. Because it has been a while. Ahem.)

That seems to be about it, thus far. Fear not, Colleen's Adventure's With Microgynon 30 have yet to disappear because I still have to see how the period will work out. That will be under a cut and PLEASE listen to the warnings next time. I think, though, that might work out okay.

Thank you all for bearing with me.

P.S. No, I'm not in work. There was a long post explaining why, but LJ ate it and the auto-draft feature worked against me. Never mind. Will update about it later. Also the brownies worked out well.

With regards to moisturiser = spots... what ones have you tried? I tend to get spots from creams quite easily so I might be able to rec one or two to you that haven't led to flaming soreness.

I know you won't, but this way I won't get sued for breaking your brains!

Right now I'm using Vaseline Cream. It's the cheapest in Savewrs and the dry skin or the spots it produces aren't enough of a problem for me to switch to something more expensive.

Yeah, I know, I'm cheap.

Tsk tsk missy! Good alternatives are;

1. Nivea cream. Also cheap, lasts ages, and you only need a little bit.

2. Johnson's baby lotion. I have never, ever, ever, ever seen it harm anyone ever, it lasts even more ages than nivea cream, it's insanely easy to apply, it's quickly absorbed, and the only reason I tend to use Nivea instead of it is because Nivea, in its cute little container, is more portable and less likely to go SPLUT SPLURT over your clothes when travelling.

I don't believe in expensive daycream unless you're feeling either indulgent or you're suddenly getting ACTUAL WRINKLES OH NOES.

agh. i'm halfway through my seventh month and i still have yet to decide if it's affecting my emotions. probably, i think. i'm still childless, as far as i know. i still have days where i forget to take it until five in the evening, but my average time is about midday so that's alright.
i wonder if it's affected my skin too? has been generally better i think, though recently i bought tea tree oil facial wipes (organic fair trade or something) cause my spots were coming back :S so it could all be to do with diet as well...
i cry lots more, i think. this could also have to do with never seeming to eat enough (because i feel ill, and things... am going hospital about food as my body seems to have a Bad Reaction to pretty much everything, except perhaps vitamin tablets).
soooo... generally a good thing in that sex is good and babies are bad. at this point. woot.
xx
