Oh, God, yesterday ended up being wonderful.

The evening started off fairly blah. I got into work, discovered a mix up with rotas and trundled home, high as a kite on sugar and Sudafed (that stuff is like ecstasy, I swear). A few hours of man-bashing later (see [livejournal.com profile] stupidore), I took out my navel piercing. Seriously, it's grown hideous in the last two days and I've spent a year trying to prevent this and I give up. It still looks manky now - all bruised with a kelvoid that's only slowly going down now. Hurrah for Sarah being able to get the damned thing out!

So. It's 10pm and we decide that the way forward involves the Bop. I threw on clothes quickly and zoomed out with Derya and Katie.

Oh, God, I had a fabulous night. We sat and nattered to some of Derya's friends from school, danced like an idiot, saw Josh from college who had a Guinness hat on, and finished the night off with the neighbours and some other Albanians.

The best part was when Aoife, who was with her bloke Bill, leaned over to me. "Don't you miss Simon, being surrounded by all these couples?"

I looked at the time and grinned like an idiot. "No! Because he's coming to visit me tomorrow!"

So I spent a lot of the evening grinning like an idiot, and dancing happily to cheesy songs,a nd even walking home in the cold was okay, because I was talking to people and really, stupidly, feeling like I belonged in the social side of university. I know that sounds daft, and nine times out of ten I'm fully aware I am a student and belong here, but sometimes I feel like a bit of a lemon. Last night, though, was lovely.

I am a little hungover now, though, and I have four and a half hours to do my laundry, clean my room, clean the kitchen and do all the odds and sods that need doing every Saturday (this now includes the shopping, eep, busy busy!), but that's all I have to worry about until I go to work, and then it's practically tomorrow. I am being unashamedly soppy and I don't care right now. Not even the mild hangover and the fact I bit my tongue last night so half of it is swollen up (mmm, sexy) can put me off right now.

You probably didn't have to take it out. If you'd done sea salt soaks for a couple of days it'd probably have cleared itself up. Sea salt is good for getting rid of keloids.

It wsn't just the kelvoid - it had pretty much settled in a non-straight position, it was painful and it was still oozing pus and blood. It did this for a year and I only have so much patience.

And now I am on ten. MAKES ME SAD.

Yeah, mine was a bit gay like that. It never particularly jealed well & I think was beginning to grow out.

Ooh, I'm on ten too. This is good.

Mine was just... ugh. It's gross now, but the bruising is going down now, which is lovely.

I WILL BEAT YOU. Except I won't because piercings cost RENT MONEY. Roll on the summer and my potential job.

Haha, I need to get my ear pierced at least once more & I'm scared of getting my tragus done because it might hurt. & I think the only place I've got left to pierce is my ears but I'm working on stretching them at the moment. Both are now at around a cm!

i was at the bop too, but i never saw you! too bad ... it was a good one, my friend ruth was the lead dancer in the third dance from the irish dancing troupe. its funny cos i saw josh too, so we must have just missed each other. he picked me up but didnt propose this time, i was most disappointed :-P, it was good to see him. i think i ended up being the only person from my corridor who actually had a good night ... keep it simple, just bop it. lot of very drunk people doing amusing things, got kissed on the EAR (i know, wtf?) by a drunk irish guy from one of my classes and then another one wouldnt let go of me til i kissed him, but in the end he just let me kiss his cheek so it was ok. im steering clear of random pulls due to my bad experience the other week ... random guys dont exist in st andrews, you will always see them again. i was in a strange mood and wandered round hugging people who i barely know though.

I NEED to see your ears.

Tragus is like the tongue. Doesn't hurt and then BURNS LIKE FIRE for a few days.

IT was very crowded and I was right in the middle, so...

I had a fab night. YOU ARE SECRETLY AN ALBANIAN because we all had a good time.

Random pulls are always... odd, though. Wouldn't know, not done so in St Andrews, so...

You know, it took me quite a while to realise that by Albanians, you don't mean people from another country... On that tired and ridiculous note, I shall go to bed!

Yay for Simon and you! Have a nice weekend. :)

One of my colleagues told me that Sudafed is a form of amphetamine, which might account for your high. That, or the thought of approaching couple-time! :D
