Say hello to Castellan Colleen I.

No, really.

I had a vague speech in my head ("I am a big nerd. I run stuff on the internet and am apparently vaguely well known. Also I FIGHT CRIME in between toning up my secretarial skills") but the entire thing went as thus:

"Anyone for Castellan? You? Okay, anyone else? Right, anyone violently disagree? Fab, have fun."

So, I am the secretary. Or, you know, the Castellan. Not only do I take minutes, but I get everyone e-mail address, act as Vice-President if the President and the Chancellor can't make, AND I GET TO USE THE MIND PROBE. Actually, it looks rather esay - I don't have any PR type of stuff to do, so I more or less just float around with an alliterative title. Lovely!

Today has been a nice day, really. Okay, tap in the morning had the horror of horror - my partner has dropped out. Things were bad enough as it was, because me and her dancd, by ourselves, for a tiny little bit and we were the first to do so. This means that I am the ONLY ONE. Oh, god, the pressure. On the bright side, I can make the entire thing more complicated, because my partner was a tap n00b, so that's not too bad. And then Katie and I went to Tescos in Dundee to buy Cheap Clothes for the dance show, and because we were starving we decided to go for a lunch somewhere. Hours afterwards, I'm still completely stuffed, but it's been a good day thus far.

Now, of course, I have to do quite a lot of an essay, so that I can take tomorrow night off due to [livejournal.com profile] amchau being here, and then write, erm, everything, on the essay I'm not really sure of. I think I can safely say I've buggared up ME1002 slightly more than I wanted to, but it's too late to catch up now. Maybe I'll do okay? Oh, we'll see, I suppose. Bung in lots of scrappy case studies about the Mediterranean, a bit about why they weren't the only ones, and then finish. I can wheedle 1,500 words out of that, and hell, I might even not to do badly.

Right. On to the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact of 1939, and then Sharpe is on! May have to make [livejournal.com profile] amchau watch it tomorrow night, but, well, there we are.

That's Castellan Colleen The First to you, peon!

I am sorry that Sharpe took me away, but, um, Sharpe is, well, it's Sharpe. It's gloriously predictable and I can shout about the historical inaccuracies except that there are none thus far, which oddly saddens me, but, um, yes.

I will phone you tomorrow with an [livejournal.com profile] amchau and it will be glorious. *nods*
