hathycolI spent last night curled up in front of the telly watching Braveheart with Katie. I spent a lot of time shouting at the TV and apologising for being English, as well as being amused about the fact every single Scottish symbol story began with "Well, there was a battle, and we killed loads of English, and..."
I also finished off a bottle of wine during it, which made the whole thing much more bearable, if you don't count bruising my foot really quite impressively as the chairs in the lounge are surprisingly vicious.
Anyway. I woke up this morning, looked at the clock, and remembered that I had to be at the health centre in twenty minutes time. That was not the most fun thing ever.
I came home, ate toast whilst slumped in the corner of the kitchen, and then got a phone call from the Union.
I am now officially a Union Monkey. To be precise, I am a cleaning operative (morning). I have to work every morning from now until the end of term. From 7am. Still, it's only for six days, and if I hate it, then it doesn't really matter. The pay is £5.11, which represents the most I've ever been paid for a job. I'm not going to complain, because I need the cash.
So, that has been my day. And now? I revise for exams. Yes. *nods* Because I am going to Cambridge in three days - hurrah! Although apparently I have to get up at SIX for the next three days. Oh, yay.
Still! Money!
