Jul. 26th, 2006 06:55 pmToday I stole a Mars Bar from work. I feel dreadful, but the pile of them has been sitting thee, untouched, since I started there. Also, I have totted up all the unpaid overtime of the last three weeks and there is four hours worth of it, I've never taken a break longer than five minutes and often I stay late. Nor, might I add, do I take the free dinner I'm offered (which, I might add, generally consists of whatevers in the fridge that you ask the cook to make up) so frankly I feel that I am totally owed my illicit Mars Bar.
I will eat it tonight and it will be GLORIOUS. Mwahaha. Anyway, Wednesday's have more than twice the workload, considering that I have fruit and twice the washing up to deal with, so I DO NOT CARE. RAH.
*debates flocking this*
Anyway. I'm a little peeved off because no one bothered to tell me 'by the way, that Sandra lady you're covering for is the one in the dining room staring at you' when I was running around like a headless chicken with too many knives and forks. She came into visit, and by god but I felt like I was being inspected. YOU ARE TAKING MY JOB, PLEASE TO BE STAYING ILL UNTIL SEPTEMBER. YOU GET SICK PAY, I GO BACK INTO DEBT.
Ahem.
Today I phoned
sevenhelz, but she was not in. If you find a missed call from someone with an Ormskirk number, that's me. (01695 etc.) I did not leave a message because I am scarily incoherant at this. But still! I didn't phone the opticians, but I'm doing that tomorrow. There is a wee reminder on my phone and everything. I will do it, and be productive, and not realise that I've spent pretty much all of July sitting around the house or cleaning up after old people.
I am hungry, and tonight I'm foraging for myself. Normally, I would cope admirably with this, except Mum does not actually keep a well-stocked cupboard. I can always cook for myself at uni, but here, it's all health food. How in the name of God do you actually cook healthily? I cook very healthily when armed with my Plan For The Week, but when I'm cooking off the cuff, I cook terribly.
Ho hum.
