I slept for eleven hours last night, and woke up in what felt like the comfiest bliss ever. Tonight, I have a vague plan involving Old Skool Doctor Who and a box of birthday chocolate. I can smell a Sunday dinner cooking and for once it actually smells really nice. I had the BESTEST LASAGNE EVER last night. My bedroom was surprisingly easy to clean and I didn't destory anything important, and now it looks clean and stuff EGADS. The weather is British again; a bit gloomy and cold enough to put a jumper on.

It's official. This weekend is going too well. Next week is doomed to be a suckiest week at work EVER, because I am a firm believer in life going like that, but it's okay, because next weekend should be a good one. (Snakes On A Plane is out. Where's the bad?) Well. Until Sunday. I have to go into work that day. But Saturday will be glorious!

(Presuming, of course, I don't have to walk anywhere. I now remember the problem with dancing when wearing high heels. My feet actually burn a bit. Oops.)

I like my life today.

you need better shoes. i'm going to have to keep saying this because nobody seems to realise how important it is; a good high heel should balance the weight between the ball of the foot and the heel. the heel of the shoe should be in the centre of your heel for support; all the curves of the shoe should fit properly so that you don't end up holding it on with your toes... and it's worth paying £30 upwards for a really good pair PROVIDING THEY FIT. there isn't one perfect style for everyone, as different feet can manage different angles and height of heel... and if you're going to buy cheap shoes, buy them loose and pad them.
if you're a size six or thereabouts, i have a beautiful pair you can try on that are perfect for me but will at leaast demonstrate the balance of the heel (it's positioned under the weight, not too far back or at some stupid angle).
you'll be amazed what a difference it makes to the burn, and to the dancing.

Mmm, we have "The Five Doctors" on tap for tonight, hurrah! Morgan's now hooked after we saw "City of Death." He now accepts that there are other "real" Doctors besides Nine.
