Sep. 7th, 2006 02:46 pmHello!
Hair status: One hair dressers trip and £45 of my hard-earned cash later and it still looks ridiculous. Admittingly, though, it looks less ridiculous than it did, but it just looks... odd. I've had some, but not all, of the darker stuff bleached and then the stuff that's been bleached has gone red. It's actually really lovely, the colour I've got. The problem is, the red I put in to tery and disguise the blue has now faded, so the bit at the front is lovely and the bit at the back looks really bland. I give up. It's hats for me, because I no longer look quite so daft. I am hoping and praying that when I was my hair, the oomph will go from the new stuff, but the black isn't really all too visible anymore, so if I am very lucky, when I wash my hair, ALL WILL BE MAGICALLY OKAY.
Or so I hope and pray. However, I an hopefully not attack it all with red if it all does loook a little bit silly, because then I will just have some ill-advised highlights rather than a complete disaster. I'm just lzy with my hair, though, I just want to do something and leave it be. Bah. I can deal with looking rubbish for uni, I suppose.
Anyway. Away from all of that, I had such a fab day yesterday, all seen from underneath a very tightly wrapped and pinned bandana. Firstly was the joy of getting to go on the motorway again and go at ridiculously fast speeds. I don't think I'm ever going to get bored of that. Once into Blackpool, I parked up, paid an inordinate amount of money for the priviledge and walked down pretty much all of the Golden Mile with Simon, who looked understandably bemused at the BRIGHT SHINY LIGHTS and strange colours everywhere, but with one thing and another, we ended up in the Doctor Who exhibit. This is my second time going to see it, and it is good, but, you know, it hasn't changed at all and thinks that Paul McGann is dangerously forward-thinking.
The rest of the day was spent shivering on the pier (well, the central one) and wandering up and down the Golden Mile, before camping back to my car, renewing the parking ticket, and going off for dinner and and riding back on the tram, seeing the downright crappy lights, before buying some candy floss (IT IS LIKE CRACK) and going back to my car for the last time to see a large parking ticket all over the dashboard, because the renewed parking ticket had slipped.
All in all, I ended up spending rather too much money in the last few days.
Still, though, I had a lovely Day Out and I totally don't want to go to anymore seaside towns. A success, I feel!
I am currently sat at home waiing for my mum to show up, as apparently we were meant to be going shopping for uni stuff today. In order to be at home for the correct time, I have turned down going to see Andrew and also seeing the rest ofThree Inna Dress The Green Death. I am not best pleased, although the afternoon is still young, etc, etc.
I should go and tidy up from last night. Simon stayed over the spare room, I suddenly realise, is still covered in pillows and stuff. (It's got a double oull-out bed, it makes sense!) Busy busy.
