Simon said he was going to fix my computer. Many hours later and suddenly various promises re: Microsoft Office have been broken.

Could anyone lend me a copy, please? I don't know for definite if I'm going to need it (I'm still trying to coax mine into action) but, um, I sort of need it for uni.

LIES ALL LIES. Simon has fixed my computer. I now owe him lunch and possibly a lot of Being Nice to make up for the massive guilt-trip I laid on him via LJ.

Thanks cedara for the tip, by the way, even if I didn't use it! (Simon says that was going to be his next suggestion. Yeah. Okay then. "But I knew you wouldn't like it!" he just said indignantly. "I thought you'd respond much in the same way that you did for Linux!" I'll stop doing this now even if he is correcting my typos ARGH STOP.)

However, I still love you all! I ALSO LOVE STAR TREK. YOU SEE UHURA, YOU SEE WHY. Ahem.

Have you considered Open Office, even just temporarily? It can convert to and from Microsoft Office, if that is all you need. It can also open Excel files.
