Sep. 17th, 2006 12:08 pmI am in university. I am currently in, admittingly, a very big room. It is part of a house with walls so thin that I can hold conversations with Katie in seperate rooms with both the doors shut and neither of us raising our voices, a kitchen that is actually fetid and a shower that is crawling with insects and mould.
Alsom my exhaust carriage fell off my car at precisely 8.20am, while I was on the M6. I left the house at 8.00am.
That's right, kids. My car made a loud thumping noise, started throwing up sparks and I nearly died because I panicked. Simon is wonderful and kept me calm while I phoned the RAC man. He turned up after an hour, when I phoned them again and cried at them. It is effective! He turned up five minutes later, pulled off the exhaust and said "Right, off you go."
I stared. "What?"
"Well, you need to get it replaced, but you'll make it to St Andrews, easy."
Yeah. This had better not be ominous. Seriously, though, I did quietly cry over Simon and the RAC about this.
People-wise, it is going well. My two Mystery Housemates turn out to be someone from France who is over for just a year and also called Corrine and a Dundonian who is also very nice and goes by the name of Lesley. We all got very drunk of wine last night, and I am suffering for it, and still surrounded by masses of packing that's still to do. ARGH.
For now though, I'm going to go and harrass Simon into having a shower and go and meet my parents. Yay, etc.
However, I go have lots of space for posters. David Tennant and Serenity! Yay!
