Sep. 20th, 2006 12:01 pmTHERE IS A FUCKING BUILDING SITE OUTSIDE OF MY ROOM AND IT WAS DRILLING AT FUCKING 8.30AM AND I HAVE NO FUCKING DOUBLE-GLAZING AND OH MY FUCKING GOD DOES THAT FUCKING TRUCK EVER STOP FUCKING REVERSING!!????!!
Ahem. Needless to say, I am just a little bit cheesed off with the world and as such feel no guilt in playing The Fratellis as loud as it will go and shoutign the sentence said before loud enough SO THE BASTARDING FUCKING WORKMEN CAN HEAR IT.
I know that a home is what you make of it, and we finally got some cleaners in so it's, you know, safe to live in, but it's just a stupid little house in the arse end of nowhere with fucking BUILDERS EVERYWHERE. Argh.
I mean, things were nice last night. Derya is back now, so the house is full, and I got confirmation that my job at the Ruby (free food!) is back on. Sarah made soup and home-made bread and we all sat around and proceeded to not do very much other than learn my lines for Wyrd Sisters, and it was, you know, lovely. It was. But this morning has just made me snappy and irritated, as today was meant to be my last day off work, i.e. the last one with a lie-in.
Bah.
Anyway. Today, I am going to go to my old house and possibly mug the new occupants for the keys, or at least check if we have any post, and then go for a walk on the beach. I do have a new hoodie that proclaims to the world that I am in the University of St Andrews. It is like a hug in a hoodie, which is, well, something.
*yawns*
I'm going to stop being miserable, honestly, but this house is really just a bit manky and given that I'm paying more or less what I did for Gatty last year and I'm getting so much less for my money, then I'm a bit annoyed. I'll see if I can put up some photos just to make the point.

Date: 2006-09-20 11:52 am (UTC)I think living on a building site is slightly better than behind a pub. I've done both, and pub clearing out their glass for recycling at 1am, and beer deliveries at 6am, are Not Good. But still, building sites are quite awful too. *hugs*
