hathycolI should be the library right now. No, honestly, I should, and I even want to be. I was ever so industrius yesterday, so now all I have planned for the day is tutorial preparation and a quick lookover of my other notes and then I am prepared for my Viking essay and on schedule and stuff.
Only small, teeny, tiny problem is that I'm so hungover I can't, um, see properly.
Bollocks.
See, last night was simultaeneously (my spelling is bad this morning I AM SORRY) DocSoc and RockSoc. I came to DocSoc armed for RockSoc (with a sensible blouse over the corset) and took sensible notes and all that jazz, and then LOADS of people turned up for the actual pub crawl. lone_hobbit and amaunet as well as some other randoms.
I did, however, get rather drunk. By 'rather drunk' I mean 'legless'. And then I went a bit mental and danced like an idiot for a very long time.
Erm. By 'danced' I mean, um, pole-danced.
In front of many members of DocSoc, most of whom were in the committee.
Um.
I think I deserve my hangover. Good night, though. I talked to a lot of people and danced with a lot of people (one who looked like Adam Ant, I seem to remember) and there was even a very small DocSoc contingent dancing in a wee circle together. And hell, I think the pub crawl was technically over by that point so it is okay that I let my hair down a bit.
Or something like that.
I am mildly worried that Simon hasn't texted me back (and my Sent Message box is empty, dammit!) and I am mildly worried that somewhere there are pictures of me pole-dancing, but other than that, I am going to concentrate on the fact that my hangover is melting a bit and that tonight I can just stay in and do my laundry and go to bed nice and early and not die at all.
[eta: okay, am now in library and have just finished research for medieval history and done all my research for my tutorials so IT IS OKAY TO BE HERE YOU SEE but I wanted to add that Enid sent me a postcard and it was most glorious. That is all.]
