hathycolI am not dead. Right now, I'm so bone-tired that I sort of wish that I was.
Erm, right, stuff that I have to talk about. Rehearsals were all painfully horrendous, but I left half-way through the second one to nab Simon. That was rather wonderful, although being at a train station at nearly midnight in the freezing cold was less so. I like it when Simon comes to visit me, did I mention that before?
I promptly took him to the Union and dumped him in the back of the Union while I finished rehearsing. I also had to keep him away from, you know, the entire cast, one of whom has picked up the habit of referring to him as Sexman and humming the Batman theme tune at me on a regular basis. (Do. Not. Ask.)
Anyway. Once I finally got home from that and actually got to sleep, I had four hours sleep before I had to go to work on Tuesday. Despite coming home and sleeping for a few hours, I still had to do tutorials and them, you know, do that play thing.
So, Wyrd Sisters. It went... okay. "The people LIKED IT!" Erm. The house music is actually some of the Discworld songs, and it was oddly validating to hear the audience move from "WTF??!" to "LOL!" at The Hedgehog Can Never Be Buggared At All. (Which I should stop singing in public. "You can buggar the ox if you stand on a box but the hedgehog can never be buggared at all...") It just... went quite well, I think. People laughed, I resisted the urge to run off stage screaming or being sick and all in all not too bad.
Simon left this morning, before I had to go to work. It was horrible, and to make matters worse I'm now so exhausted I feel sick from it and on top of that I napped for a few hours this afternoon so I know I won't sleep tonight. Argh. I can't wait until Friday. I may have to write an entire essay as well as go shopping for a Halloween costume (I'm going as a flapper; I hope I can find a sparkly dres) but by god I CAN GO TO BED EARLY.
