Oct. 31st, 2006 09:37 amDear body,
Look, I know I don't feed you as well as I should. I do make an effort to make sure you get vegetables and I'm even trying to up the protein (from, uh, none) and generally make sure that you stop rebelling against me. I know, I know, I eat too much Pic n Mix and crisps, but seriously, I try and make sure you get enough sleep and are not damanged and all that fun. I even exercise you in the form of excessive walking.
Why, then, do you think it's hysterically funny to have something go wrong when it looks as though I need you to be in full working order? The flu four weeks ago JUST IN TIME TO GO TO CAMBRIDGE and then bunging an ulcer around my tongue piercing when I had to speak in public. Oh, body, truly I could forgive you for that, but NO.
You have to go and give me a cold that looks as though it will blossom into the evil thing of death on the days in which I have no car I have to walk into work at 6.30am. It's not in your best interests to do this, you know. No work means no food and then YOU STARVE. So I will walk you into work, with every muscle and my achey head and raging nausea and it will SERVE YOU RIGHT if just the effort of wiedling a mop hurts so much I have to take a break on a regular basis.
Oh, and pulling this when I have an essay to write AND I'm going to Cambridge on Thursday?
Not best pleased.
No love,
the achey brain of Colleen.

Needless to say, I am having a bad day after a night of no sleep due to being nauseous and too hot. Today is also a busy day - I have a lecture in about twenty minutes, then I leave the house again at two and don't get back until about nine if I'm lucky.
And oh yes, I can't drive because MOT is still taking place. Nothing too dreadful - Whacking Great Cheque covers it and leaves me with £1 left oh my god why do I keep this bloody car oh yes because it's the only thing that means I have one of my jobs and turn up to the other one - but still a bit painful. Mostly because it's looking like Wednesday that I'll get it back.
All my joints hurt. This is sucktastic. I may be very lazy and get the bus home.
