Nov. 1st, 2006 05:46 pmI am currently trying to write an essay about Buchner's Woyzeck. I am sort of trying to do this by the seat of my pants, i.e. I'm relying on the fact this course has eleven people on it of whom about eight turn up on a reulgar basis and that the tutors have no idea when the essays are due in or indeed what they set the questions as three years ago. I have, um, lecture notes, seminar notes, Wikipedia, the play itself, and more importantly, this is the only essay that I don't have to worry about using the right amount of sources, which means I am using, erm, none.
I will get over a five and that is all that counts. Only another... erm... 900 words to go! Hurrah!
However, me being who I am, I'm still going to, say, give it in on time and whatnot, as I am going to Cambridge tomorrow afternoon. *bounces*
I managed to win on my MOT yesterday, and saved £32 that I thought I wouldn't do. This is a small fortune for me, as it's about a week's budget for me.
So instead of saving it, which would be sensible, I went out and Spent Money today. I bought Wintersmith, the new Terry Pratchett novel, so my essay is pretty much out of the window. I'm debating just giving up and reading the entire thing as opposed to the half I already have, so that at least I have no more distractions until then.
It's a very good book, though.
I also wish that someone would do the FUCKING WASHING UP. I am going to have to have words with people about this, but after Reading Week, but seriously, it's just horrible at the moment.
