hathycolHo hum. Apologies for being a bit emo last night. On the bright side, it means I'm currently working my arse off because I'm actually going to Throw Myself Into My Work, or something like that. I have been to all my lectures today - Appeasement OH MY GOD FUCKING MODREN HISTORY ARGH - and I have read all of Gerald of Wales - 200 pages in a day, god bless my speed-reading ability - although I still have a frightening amount to read. I have composed a meal plan and a shopping list, I might even go and do the washing up, I've sent the CD I promised to my mum, I've sorted out an entire DocSoc showing on my lonesome, cleaned out my room and done my individual shopping. (I now have £2 to live off due to this weeks need for cheese.)
I am Busy McBusy. My To Do List is as follows:
1. Find reading for MO2005.
2. Actually read it, for the first time this semester.
3. Do seconday reading for ME2001
4. Re-read chapter 8 of Madame Bovary
5. Compose letter of complaint for GNER. Carefully remember not to swear.
6. Phone my mother. (Oh, god.)
Anyway. The weekend was... odd, as I spent most of it trying to look after Simon as well as do stupid things like pack and try not to get upset about the fact I was leaving. It sucks, does leaving. I'm not going to write about it, because I'll just get miserable.
The train journey was hellish. All of St Andrews was on my train, which, for the very last stop, i.e. to the place where my car was, had a rail replacement bus. Singular. One bus for something like 200 students.
Yeah.
So, I ended up sharing a taxi with three complete strangers because one of them needed to get to Leuchars as well. £12.50 down the train (that was my share of the £50 bill from Kirkcaldy to Leuchars) that I could really have done with not spending, hence my budget of death that means I can't do my laundry until payday on Friday.
Not best pleased, really.
Ho hum. Should go and do some reading, and resist the urge just to not to the reading and give up and watch Torchwood. Or at least do the washing up.
