Oh, god, please save me and get me back to CIVILISATION. And SCOTLAND. And NOT MY FUCKING SISTER AND HER FUCKING POSSE OF SMELLY BOYS WHO HAVE NOT YET DISCOVERED THE MEANING OF 'SHOWER' BUT HAVE DISCOVERED MY MOTHER'S TOBACCO STASH AND YES I WILL TELL HER.

*falls over*

Erm, yes. I have hooked up the internet cable to my computer and am enjoying the joys of slightly banned internet. Not 'banned' per se, but the home computer is so dodgy that I think even being near my sleek machine of glory is making it break down out of envy. Ah well, I do not care and I am actually on LiveJournal. Hurrah! Etc.

I am also technically doing my Madame Bovary essay. I have nearly finished and just need to wrap up the conclusion, which is a satisfying feeling. What I have written can be neatly described as 'utter bollocks' but hey ho, such is life. I need to get out of here. Yesterday, I braved the sales and sold my soul to capitalism, but for £40, I have new jeans, jumper, nail varnish, earrings and stationary. Hurrah!

Erm, yes. In the last few days, I have also embraced the power of television. Firstly, I sat through all of Hogfather which was, um, pretty much awesome. Personal favourite bits were Death (naturally), the wizards (the Dean had 'Born to Rune' on the back of his robe!) and the Death of Rats. And Nobby. YAY!

I also finally watched whatever the hell the last episode of Torchwood was called. It was a load of bollocks. Like much of Torchwood. Ugh.

Eehee. The Doctor finally, finally, said Gallifrey! About bloody TIME.

I ended up watching the episode at Simon's house, because of the lack of reliable internet here and the fact that the tape I had it on went kaput. I think I probably scared everyone in his house making excitable noises re: Gallifrey, but hey, there we go. As an episode, I really enjoyed it, Catherine Bloody Tate and all. It made me laugh, it wasn't half as emo as I was expecting, and the spiders scared me too much. I actually can't look up their name because they are horible and awful and kudos to Sarah Parrish for not making me scream like a small child and spend the whole episode curled up under the sofa and more adding a sense of realism. (I watched that sequence from Return of the King once. Just once. At home. I showered afterwards as I felt uneasy.)

Even though he went on about Rose, he also displayed the tendancy to pick up the first woman he finds on the street. Which is just as things should be. Etc.

I should go and finish that essay and put the computer back together and put this one away and look angelic. I have a lot of reading to do, so I should start that. And lesson plans for the next five months. Possibly not specific ones, but I need to know what it is I'm actully teaching the por child. So I should go into the attic and hunt out some books.

First, though, tea. It is calming, and more importantly, I can quietly sit and read my books with a cup of tea without the distractions of family.

Torchwood's was called Combat, and the Empress was a Rachnos.

Did you get to see all three trailers at the end? Series three, Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures?

I saw the S3 trailers and did the happy dance of joy. I didn't see the Torchwood ones or the SJA... I've seen the second trailers all over the TV at different times, though.

(... the radio just started playing 'Cause We Want To!' by Bilie Piper. Okay, that's weird...)

Please let me come over before you leave, just so I can watch their faces as they try to understand sarcasm.
