Feb. 25th, 2007 02:53 pmSo, last night I had a really, really weird dream. I went home for the weekend, and went back to the new house my parents had purchased 'as a surprise'. It was enormous. I had two double beds (not sure why), a huge room, and a bathroom all to myself.
Naturally, I was confused by all this. So, as you do, I asked how the hell they could afford all this. My mum beamed at me, and proceeded to tell me that her and Dad had split up, but were still good friends so were still living together. Except they were also living with their respective new partners, both of whom were male.
I woke up confused, needless to say.
Oh, god, it's gone three and I've done so little today, and I have do much to do! Today I need to get all my tutorial reading for the week done, as well as make essay plans and lessons plans for this week. Normally I wouldn't be so productive, but I'll have no free time this week; my official Day Off on Wednesday will be spent running the DocSoc marathon. Argle. And, of course, I lose next weekend as I'm off to fancy-pants Cambridge (they have heating there. Heating!) which takes away my usual bout of Frantic Essay Writing. Given I have just over two weeks to get two essays done as well as a presentation on medieval heresy and then have another essay the week after that, I really should start doing something useful.
As such, today I have been to the library. I took ou ton, singular book. However, since I have am lazy, all three of my essay topics are roughly the same. Well, no, but it does mean I can combine a bit of research. Divinity is on the Reformation in England (one of my pet topics), medieval will be on heresy (much like my talk, ahem) and my book review will be on English religious habits from 1400-1650. Mwahaa!
I am not sure if I am being cunning like a fox, if I am shooting myself in the foot because I will get confused and write the wrong this, or if I'm just being really lazy and losing the point of doing these essays. This might be true, but the thing is, they're all topics I really enjoy, as compared to the usual trick of doing one I like and one spent running around in the library screaming in horror. So, we'll see.
So, I should be productive today. What have I actually done? Well, I've been to town and I got out the book I plan to review. This is a good move. I also bought toothpaste, which is also a good thing. The Pic n Mix purchased immediately after perhaps wasn't the best move, althouh it is tasty.
ARGH WORKING NOSE TO BE GOING TO THE GRINDSTONE NOW. *whirrs grindstone*
