hathycolOkay. It is past 11pm on a Sunday night and Amateur Drummer from next door has started again. I live next door to some quite interesting people, it seems. There is Amateur DJ. We crossed paths in Freshers Week, and now he thinks of me as a crazy bitch who complains a lot. That's fine by me. I have a low opinion of someone who alternates between terrible drum 'n' bass (and hell, I like drum 'n' bass the most of all the crappy dance genres) and playing the Tetris remix. Loudly. No, I do not want to 'play some Tetris, motherfuckers!'
There is the Amateur Band. I think these are not a permanent fixture, but at least they play at sane times of day, unlike their DJ and Drummer counterparts.
I am quite fond of Amateur Singer. Alas, our paths do not cross often, but he is a man who is aware he can't sing and revels in that fact. In the shower. He does so at reasonable times of day, however. Honestly, I don't mind.
Amateur Drummer likes to drum in the shower. Taps along against the wall. I'm all for artistic freedom, but my wall is AGAINST THEIR SHOWER. He also appears to take showers whenever I'm asleep. I swear, he waits for me to go to bed. However, Amateur Drummer also apparently owns a real drum, and has decided now is a good time to play it. ARGH! I'm not in bed yet, but seriously! Work! In seven hours! They know this! They know I am the crazy bitch from next door and will go to the warden!
At least it's not the time they woke me up at 3am by playing Shirley Bassey as loud as it would go. I'm not even angry about that; I was, an remain, completely baffled as to why Shirlet Bassey was the trendy thing to play at 3am on a Saturday night.
I am not an unreasonable neighbour. They want to party on Friday and Saturday nights, and that is fine. They want to party past 3am on Friday and Saturday nights, that is not fine. They want to party on nights on which I get up early and - not unrealistically - other people have to get up before 9am, that is not fine.
Oh, god, I'm going to be Concerned of Tunbridge Wells before I'm 35.
