hit me with your laser beams
Mar. 19th, 2007 05:14 pmNervous breakdown slightly imminent. Send crisps and cream cheese and teabags.
Normal service to be resumed when I don't have 3,000 words to research and write in between sorting out a fairly complicated lesson plan for Thursday and three (three!!) DocSoc meetings in the space of three days.
Also send luck that my team wins on the DocSoc/AltSoc/FilmSoc/PythonSoc Multi-Society Pub Quiz Of Geekery. This is clearly more important than getting some sleep (I have lectures for that, speaking of, also send notes on Dante's Inferno, Buchanan Theatre too warm and comfy) or doing aforesaid research.
I did, however, say something clever in MO2006 tutorial. This came as a surprise possibly to all concerned. Okay, it was about medieval history but it was a PERTINENT EXAMPLE, honest. Someone was waffling on about total war and about how Guernica was one of the first real examples of total war, as civilians are injured to help out in the war effort.
"What about the chevachees during the 100 Years War under the Black Prince?" I said, and did a dance inside of academic ninjery. I also made a vaguely pertinent example about how Wales is a nation but not a state because it had all the examples of nation but none of the state apparatus.
It is ironic I appear to get good at modern history just as I have medieval history essay in.
MORE TEA AND GAY EARLY NINETIES DANCE MUSIC FOR ME. *attempts to dance, falls over*
