Mar. 24th, 2007 11:03 pmSimon is here. We are watching Heroes. IT IS WIN. So is Hiro. I knew this already from pretty much all my flist and various icons.
In other news, I have cleaned the house and been domestic. It is strangely blissful, on the basis that I'm not consistently thinking "OH NOES I HAVE READING TO DO." I also cleaned because our kitchen was a genuine health hazard. Corinne had friends over last night. They smoked and probably popped some highly illegal substances, talked and sang loudly all night, messed up the entire kitchen, left grass (both types) and tobacco everywhere, exploded porridge on (and in) the cooker and ate our last loaf of bread.
Today I have cleaned, did most of the washing up, and told Corinne she had to clean the rest of the cooker, mop the floor and do her washing up. She has not yet done so. I asked her to do this in the evening, but her and her boyfriend have that stoner cough again that I have become so accustomed to.
So I suppose that I am finishing off cleaning the kitchen tomorrow. WOE IS ME. Etc.
Also, funny story! Sort of. Yesterday, I decided to skip doing my divinity lecture in leiu of editing my essay. I ran into the library foyer in an attempt to grab the computers before the massive rush and ran straight past my entire divinity class as well as tutor.
Yesterday's lecture was in the library. I was praised for having obviously run to be on time for the lecture. I mumbled something about how work was very busy (it was) and how I was jusr glad to be on time. In fairness, it was interesting - I do like the Rare Books collection - but OH DEAR LORD.
And now I am going to sleep. I DO NOT HAVE TO GET UP EARLY and I do not have to get up all week. I want to be in work on Monday - bloody politics and bar staff and long story involving management - but we've all been told not to come in over Easter. Ah well.
I LOFF YOU ALL. Etc. Intermittent updates. They'll stop completely if I do end up beating Corinne to death armed with nothing but a lamb-fat filled roasting tin (ARGH! ARGH!) and the lemon smelling stuff that I am completely dependant on to MAKE THE ROTTING SMELL CAUSED BY PEOPLE LIVING DISHES OUT go away.
Ahem. Yes. I should not be killing people. Honest. Simon will stop me from doing so, I'm sure.

Date: 2007-03-27 02:01 pm (UTC)Next year, I have a house with a really big kitchen, a pantry and a dishwasher. Two years in Fife and Albany Park have taught me how much I'll need this...
