hathycol: (guy again)

Today is Friday 13th. Fingers crossed, today is actually going rather well, with no major mishaps. Well, sort of, because I pulled the muslces in my leg so badly at Laserquest that I actually have to cling to banisters and grit my teeth when I have to handle stairs (a problem; all three of my classes today were up three seperate double flights of stairs) and I also probably smell like a yak as I really need to wash, but other than that, today is okay.

Yesterday on the other hand... oh sweet lord. Other than, you know, beginning the day by throwing up in the Union due to too much what ingestion, the sensation went on all day. It was horrible, and unpleasent, and led to me spending a lot of time clutching my stomach and wishing I was dead.

That however, paled in comparison to the evening. For about three awful, horrific hours, I thought I wasn't going to get into honours. To get into history honours, you are required to have 80 credits in non-history modules. I am doing one church history module, but as it is in the School of Divinity and not the School of History, I was happily advised into it.

Last night, as I was happily filling out my form, I discovered that church history counts against me.

I proceeded to panic, frantically open my e-mail system, cried on Katie, cried on Sarah, tried to use the phone, e-mailed the course co-ordinator and m personal advisor.

I panicked a bit more.

A few hours later, I recieved seperate e-mails telling me that it wasn't my fault, and as such, it wasn't an issue. Oh thank god.

... yeah. Last night was rubbish. I ended up curling up in bed nice and early with my earplugs firmly put in my ears; Mohawk has come to visit Katie, Corinne is home, and I am thoroughly aware of the inadequacies of Fife Park soundproofing.

Today I have bought shoes. They have heels, and shiny bits, and suede bits. They sound hideous. They are probably a bit hideous, but they were on sale and they have relatively low heels. I hope I can talk people into coming out to the Bop tonight; I have new shoes and an urge to drink until I pass out.

Until later, though, I have to do get through masses of reading for my essays as well as write a speech for the DocSoc AGM. Which is tomorrow. Word up, DocSoc people - I'm running for President and if you're on my flist then please please please turn up at and vote for me BECAUSE I AM CLEARLY AWESOME and have also been trained for this stuff. The AGM is from 3.30-5.30pm in the Union TV Room, and then we'll be getting pissed, watching Doctor Who, and then going for a meal, and then getting more pissed. Come along! It'll be fun!

... love me?
