Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] amchau for this; for the first time ever, I'm sad that I only have another four sets of exams left in my life...

But yes, today is a Good Day because I have finished the bastarding exams and I have now officially finished with second year, first, I believe, of any on my flist. (Er, in terms of finishing this year academically, not all you people who are older than me.)

Wheee!

So, I went to the exam in the pouring rain, having essentially forsaken all hope at about the point my body decided to give me insomnia for the third time in three nights. I wouldn't mind, but I sleep so well normally. Bloody body. I also threw an old air freshener out of the window at a fucking blackbird that kicked off the dawn chorus in the bush outside my window at about 6am. As such, I was not a happy camper in the exam. This may have not been evident by the way I was actually laughing at how rubbish some of my answers. Nevertheles, I honestly don't care right now. I went to book a hair appointment and got it cut there and then, so I now have significantly thinner and somewhat shorter hair, which is lovely and feels a lot lighter. Then I purchased wine, which is chilling in the fridge. The plan was to drink it whilst sitting in the sun; the rain has rather scuppered this, but I can sit and watch Farscape whilst drinking wine this evening and not feel guilty.

This is all tinged with more than a touch of sadness, though, because a week tomorrow I wil be zipping back down to Ormskirk, where everyone I know is still doing Exams And Stuff or won't be there.

I AM GOING TO ENJOY THIS WEEK SO HARDCORE THOUGH. Going to the late night showibng of 300 on Wednesday, Pirates of the Caribbean on Thursday, and I may be forced to attend a veritable mutlitude of Bops this week. As well as wine. Did I mention the wine?

Ooh, where did you get your hair cut? I've been trying to find a good hairdressers in St A for ages, but I'm always a bit scared that they will end up being really expensive and used to catering for the yahs.

Well, I went around about three places (Discover Hairstyles on South Street near WH Smith and that posh place on Greyfrairs Garden) and then I went into Johnalon and asked how much a wet cut with some thinning would cut. With the junior stylist (and a student discount!) I got my hair cut there and then for £16! Bargain, everyone else was quoting about £25 for the same thing with the unior stylist. It's not, y'know, high fashion - the place was mostly patronised by people getting perms and blue rinses. Saying that, two of my housemates have had complete restyles there for about £25 quid or so with passable jobs done.

Cool - might try it there then! I only want a basic trim and tidy up really...my hair is very long and boring, but I can't be bothered with anything that needs regular cuts!
