I habe absolutely no idea what the hell is going on with LJ right now, but I think that SixApart need to be hit with a clue-by-four. I mean, what the hell? I leave you lot alone for TWELVE HOURS, and... sheesh.

Er, yeah. Apart from all that, I watched Big Brother with my mum last night. To make up for the fact that it killed my brain cells, I killed some more by drinking half a bottle of red wine. YUM YUM YUM. I judged contestants by at what speed I'd hit them all with my car; the twins, for example, scored a 102 mph, which is the fastest my car can do before the shaking becomes unbearable.

Er, yeah. Apart from all that unbearable excitement, I went for a jo interview today. One of the first questions they asked me was 'So, can you start tomorrow?'

I answered no, because I have another job interview tomorrow, but essentially, if you're looking for work, go and work in a nursing home. It's not fun, it's not easy, but they are so utterly desperate that seriously, they'll take anyone. Honest. I mean, I am clearly awesome, but apart from that...

So, erm, I go for this other job interview tomorrow, but if they don't, say, offer me double the money, I can work full time at this other place. I'm debating taking night shifts; the money isn't any better, but the work wil be so much easier, even if the hours will be a bit of a pain. (More importantly, it will get me away from El Familio.) They don't even mind that I'm fucking off in September, or that I'm taking two weeks off in, er, just over a week. Huzzah!

Seriously, I'm not that employable. I'm not. I'll never get a job when the time comes to do something I actually want to do, but I am the queen of awesome when it comes to getting a rubbishy summer job. Trust me, people: don't bother with shops, or retail, or the job centre; just look in your local paper and be prepared to try new and exciting things. Possibly be prepared to stretch your previous experience somewhat. ("Well, yes, I did work in a high-dependency home as a housekeeper and a large residential home as a kitchen assistant and I was agency anyway and I did a lot of care work and I found it very, er, rewarding?") Cleaning toilets is the first step is BIG THINGS. Besides, this is quite a nice home and it's actually quite local, for a change. So, er, yes.

Let's see how this goes, eh? Ironically, I have a job interview tomorrow and one on Tuesday as well. I AM THE QUEEN OF TALKING MY WAY INTO EMPLOYMENT.
