hathycolAfter spending an hour on the phone to BT, we thought we had the internet sorted. He was a very nice man on the phone.
Internet down again. Katie phoned this time. Turns out there's a problem with the server, not us, and it'll take a week or so to fix.
This is over two months we've been trying to get this sorted. I'm so fed up that you have no idea. I'm struggling under my workload, the days are ridiculously dark, the house is constantly a tip, St Andrews feel all small and claustrophobic because I can't get online and escape in fanfiction and stuff, and, well...
I never thought I'd say this, but I desperately want to go home. Just for a few nights. I have no time to do so because I have an essay to hand in a week on Monday, work on Monday and Tuesday and then off to Cambridge (hurrah!) on Wednesday for a few days, which will be a marvellous break and I wish it would come sooner. But it can't, because of Simon's workload, so I'm stuck here just wanting to get in the car and drive and drive and drive and remember how much I despise being home so that I get rid of this ridiculous longing.
Plus my mum doesn't want me home as she's graduating this weekend and she says she'll feel bad because there's no ticket for me to go.
Eh. I am organising stuff instead so as to not be lonely; I just invited Richie around for dinner tomorrow night ("I'll bring the prink" is my favourite sentence in the world) and then we're going out to a gig at the Union which should be fun and all in all I will be absolutely fine very soon, I'm sure. Just now feels not so great.
Especially because I have to watch The Seventh Seal tonight for my essay. That promises to be a laugh a minute.
