Feb. 4th, 2008 09:26 pmI have had an awesome weekend, yes. *nods* After recovering from THE HANGOVER OF DEATH after, er, another night's sleep and two toasties, I went to pick up
tau_sigma from the train station. Given she is coming from Durham and has never seen Scotland before (FOR SHAME) this seemed like a sensible and overdue thing to do.
AND LO, FOR IT WAS.
Have I mentioned I like having fen around? The type of fun where you can sit and talk about university and effortlessly segue to Torchwood and Doctor Who and swear in cat meme? Cos I really really do, awesomeness of people in St Andrews aside OBVIOUSLY because they are clearly also win but sometimes just allowing my sheer squee to be let out with people I normally only talk to on the internet is just SO AWESOME.
ANYWAY. Mostly I fed her food and revelled in the change to eat lots of fried food that's bad for me; the deep-fried Mars Bar has again been proved to be a work of culinary genius. SO TRUE. I also dragged her around to touristy type stuff, but due to the fact it was freezing this was mostly put on hold.
ALSO GUYS. Do not watch Primeval (they are apparently Torchwood with S Club 7?) and then Cloverfield. SUCH ODD DREAMS.
Yes. Anyway. The next day also including touristy stuff and the joy of Northpoint and then all too soon it was over. I'm a bit rubbish at write-ups these days, so I can't write it up properly, but seriously? DOUBLEPLUS AWESOME.
The rest of the evening was filled with spending over £150.00 on Doctor Who DVDs. Okay, it's society money and the rest is going forthwith of stationary, but ooooh. It is a little bit exciting, don't you think? Library will be up and functioning soon for society members, as soon as they get delivered and I get off my backside to buy stationary.
So that was an awesome weekend indeed.
Monday has consisted of being told that our washing machine is pretty much FUBARed and parts have 'been ordered'. I am currently making contingency plans re: making sure I have some laundry done, but it depends rather heavily on breaking into Albany Park's laundry room. Argh. As such, we went on a jaunt to Dundee for the exciting purpose of buying some cheap pants as underwear is the only thing you can't jusify using Frebreze on. Alas.
Argh, I have work tomorrow. The rest of the day will be spent in my pajamas to minimise clothes use. Why, yes, things have got that bad.
