hathycolSo, yesterday I went to to Claire's birthday party with Richie. I intended to have a few drinks and head home nice and early, as today was the Refresher's Fair and I needed to be awake and chirpy.
As Richie and I staggered home at 2am eating chips, he told me that he probably wouldn't be able to make the opening of the Refresher's Fair. At 10.30am this morning, I reflected that whilst this was a sensible move for him, it was a pain in the arse for me.
Oh god I'm tired. I didn't even drink that much! Just, you know, not enough sleep. Good night - sat in the corner and talking to a lot of fairly random people, drinking cheap booze and ruminating on various perils of our respective lives. However, after about five hours of trying, in vain, to make people join DocSoc, I really think I shouldn't have stayed quite so long. And I'm so rude at the best of times for DocSoc joining up; I always shout "Do you want to join DocSoc?" and if I get a polite 'No thanks,' then I'm generally okay or say chiriply 'the answer was meant to be yes!' but oh god, some people are such knobs and then I generally swear at them.
Never mind. We got a few sign ups and got into a very strange battle with VegSoc regarding who mde the best cakes and eventually resulted in us advertising using "DocSoc - less aubergines, more cow!"
Needless to say, we'd all gone a bit mad by this point.
Righty-o. I am going to go and inhale another cup of tea and sit downstairs and stare at the tellybox. Sarah is cooking her Masterchef dish tonight and I must say, I'm quite looking forward to it based on the delicious smells coming up the stairs right now. Nom nom nom.
