It's been a weird day. My bra broke in the middle of class so now I am held up by the power of willpower and underwiring. I have also accidentally signed up for a part in a play that is apparently Doctor Who with a dash of Ovid. I will apparently be playing the cleaner.

Oh dear.

Anyway. Er. Have quite a lot to do today, but it's raining and the library is warm and the books I need are up some stairs that I have no intention of going up until my knees stop hurting so damn much. This is in no way fun, and I plan on spending this weekend resting up as best as I can, a task that might be easier did I not have my own weight of books to read.

I have every intention to scarpering away this weekend to Ormskirk to pick up some books and some jeans and everything, but too much work to do now. Curses.

I have also just been involved in some exciting wankery in [livejournal.com profile] bad_sex in which, between people saying things like 'right on!' I disapproved of the fact that he was using prostitutes. I so in fairly mild tones, as my initial response was to call him pond scum. I have been called some appalling names by the sort of people that probably think that it's not really rape if the lady is drunk. Ho hum. I feel quite hurt, actually. One fairly nice person backed me up. Other than that, I'm leaving the whole thing be and going away to simmer in my ongoing anger at the treatment of women is modern society. That, however, is a fairly incoherant rant that people rarely listen to, under the impression that woman staying at home is 'good for children' and should therefore be ALWAYS done, and that men should earn more as they obviously do more and that the fact that most of the major political and business figures of the world are men is A-OK.

Er. Sorry. Moving on.

At least it's the weekend, eh?

I started reading the group...couldn't find the wank you were talking about, but after 10 minutes started realizing I was reading EVERYTYHING ELSE and shut down the window with a 'omg I'm such a perve!' look at the laptop screen.

It's such a wrong, yet such an...involving group that. My GODS!!

Should be the title of a blockbuster self-help book.

Well, I don't know if it's good for them, or better for them than daycare, or whatever, but it sure is fun for me to get to be with these little folks all day. :) We're doing Play-Doh today! Do you know how long it's been since I ate played with Play-Doh? Too long!

Staying at home is fine as a choice that is totally valid. That's the point! It's a choice! It's when politicians tell me that as a woman, I should do so as it's 'my job' that I get irritated.
