Sep. 6th, 2008 04:40 pmI had a vaguely emo post here about the various aspects of caring, but, well, it's selfish of me. I don't have to do this for the rest of my life, like so many thousands of people who simply have to do it for a career. I don't have to care for a relative for free, like a shocking amount of people do. I just rock up and look after thirty people for a few weeks out of every few months which is really not the end of the world.
As such, I'll keep the stories to myself. Except for one. You see, the elderly are from a generation inclined to be more religious, and, well, it's a time of life you might want to start thinking of your eternal soul etc etc. As such, a lot of local church newsletters turn up and I read them every so often.
I was utterly delighted to read, from the newsletter from the church that was attached to my school, that a Father Crilly has 'joined the team.'
I think I speak for us all when I say a resounding 'LOL.'
Tonight I am going on the lash. Tomorrow I am going to start packing, reading, etc, etc. Good fun. In a week I will be back in my house. Yay!
