What is highly ironic is that my father is a nurse who works for the NHS and even he can't get an appointment. In fact, he can't even currently get the time off work because his supervisor - I quote here - "has effed off to some meeting leaving us all on the floor this is what happens when you have effing prison officers in charge." Whilst my father works in a high security mental hospital, which is therefore not known for it's A+E department and rather known for its high profile murderers/terrorists/etc (it's a glorified prison), it's still bloody annoying.
(It's nothing too serious, apparently just a tremendously stiff neck, but he works in a job that involves restraining people, he's not as young as he was, and I've never known him complain about pain like this. So, you know, I'm vaguely concerned. Plus I've never been to his hospital, only the social club, so... eh.)
