hathycolI aten't dead! I am, however, fully in the swing of Fresher's Week. Work has gone from completely dead to buzzing with activity and parents buying for kids, and town is full of nerves and excitement and people throwing up on the pavement. Ah, undergraduates.
I actually start getting busy tomorrow; I have DocSoc and AltSoc admin meetings, Tuesday is my staff appraisal, and then we start getting into matriculation, classes, society stuff. Essentially, university.
I can't flipping wait.
HOWEVER. I went out on Friday night and got absolutely hammered, and woke up with the hangover of death on Saturday. This meant my motor skills were out, and rather intelliently I managed to clock my head, just above the eye, on the side of a cupboard. I saw stars and swore for about twenty minutes. I have a great big goose egg that's threatening to bruise as well as a very visible mark for the actual impact. I was putting on make-up to hide it last night and it took about half an hour, as I can't bear to even touch it. I can't do any kind of expressions that move my eyebrows, as that really aggravates it, so I look like some botox hs gone horribly wrong, basically.
So that's my fresher's week thus far! GOOD FUN.
