hathycolFOR FUCK'S SAKE.
Went on test drive for car that was both affordable and ticked my somewhat small list of boxes. Decided to buy car. Before I had handed over money or indeed finish test drive, CLUTCH WENT ON CAR. Have just spent AN HOUR stranded on the side of a random road in Fife waiting for a lift to turn up for me.
Luckily it was before I handed over the cash, but SERIOUSLY PEOPLE WHAT DID I DO WRONG?
The worst part is I might still buy the car, presuming he doesn't adjust the price too madly and the clutch is replaced for me. Because it was driving really nicely up until that point. BUT STILL WHY ME.
