Life is basically determined to thwart me, I'm convinced. Yesterday was a day of being THWARTED and then being basically taunted over aforementioned thwarting (a somewhat long story), and now I am resolutely not making snowmen. I would you know, if there was any snow. Ever. Everywhere else in the country appears to be covered in snow, except Scotland, which has stayed pretty unsnowy ever since I moved here, whereas I seem to spend my life seeing other people covered in snow. Also, I can't be done with the Southern attitude to snow. "SNOW CHAOS!" the radio just told me. Sorry, but this is the moment where I get my 'bah, Southern pansies' hat on. We had an inpromptu blizzard just as I was leaving Aldi today, which was rather awful and meant I looked like a snowman, but that's stopped now. It's even a bit sunny.
So excuse me whilst I don't make snowmen and have fun sciving work, and instead get on with applying for jobs and... er... yeah, okay, I'm skiving work too, but I don't have any to do as it is. Shush. Don't bring me down off my high horse, the view is nice up here.
Oh, it just began hailstoning again. It is, I have to admit, bloody freezing. I might go and get my hot water bottle out, and possibly another blanket, and definitely a cup of tea. Is it too early in the day to put rum in it? Probably, if I'm going to get on with my staff evaluation (I do eight hours a week, do I need to my evaluated twice a year?) and also finish off job applications and whatnot.
Still no snow, mind. Even the hailstones just stopped!
