The above sentence is fairly obviously a lie. Next week involves ordering stuff off the internet and then obviously wrapping it etc, but the main bulk is done. I hauled myself out of bed early today, bumbled into Central London, took a careful and logical route based on the list I had made myself of What To Get People And Where To Acquire it, and was home by 1pm. Unfortunately I had failed to get a couple of things so it was back into Walthamstow, but I have now wrapped everything I acquired today whilst watching Hogfather. Ahaha.
And I still need to do my cards, but that is definitely a next weekend job as well.
Tomorrow it's off to my parent's house - hence the desperate need to do Christmas stuff early and lug it all up, I am trying to keep postage to a minimum this year - so I will faff about the north and probably drink too much, because that is how I roll. Okay, right now all of the presents are still on the floor as I have wrapped and collapsed into the sofa but generally speaking I am packed and feeling quite delightfully chilled out. Pass me a mince pie so that I can look at it in disdain. (Mince pies are rank.)
