So, I'm not dead. It has been something of a busy week, given that I'm back on full time. I am still typing on my new computer, which is very exciting but rather empty, as I still need to copy over the old hard drive. As Dad has decided to take my old laptop into tiny pieces, this may prove... interesting.

On Wednesday, we went to look at a house. We looked, and we loved it, and hooray hurrah it was AFFORDABLE with THREE DOUBLE BEDROOMS and a SPARE ROOM (okay, it's about the size of a postage stamp but THREE DOUBLE BEDROOMS) and A BATH and has the minor location issue of being, um, opposite the house of my ex-fiances parents house but in a strange way I would quite enjoy freaking the living daylights out of Simon so there we go. (Jess suggested we invest in binoculars and spend a few days honing our psycopath techniques. I declined.) Anyway, the house is AMAZING, so we went to get application forms and lo and behold, they haven't actually checked it if has a multiple occupancy license.

We are still waiting to hear back. I am mildly crushed. I was so looking forward to the shining hope of moving out of here. Now that I have internet and a laptop that works, things feel a little brighter because at least now I can get some privacy.

So, er, yes. Work continues as bloody mental, and I now have to work on Saturday mornings (8am! THE HORROR) so clearly I'm going out tonight as that's a sensible option. Er. Yes. I don't mind work, and I really enjoy the sensation of Getting Stuff Done but as I rarely actually Get Stuff Done I tend to just feel a bit rubbish about the whole thing. At least it pays.

Richie is coming to visit tomorrow! Hurrah. I have missed him, and shall be very annoyed if works runs over and I'm stuck filing invoices past 1pm.

Who would rent out a 3-bedroom house without a multiple occupancy licence? That's... weird. But then, I know nothing about housing regulations so maybe lots of single people rent out large houses for their own amusement!

I really hope that house has/can get a multiple occupancy license. *fingers crossed for you*

Also, back to full time yay? I mean, money, at least. I can very much sympathise with feeling rubbish about rarely getting stuff done: this is exactly what helping Mum tidy our house feels like. *sigh*

MAD PEOPLE is who would do that. Apparently if we were all related it would be ok, which is... bizarre, really.

Full time is fun, but the structure at work is such that nothing is ever properly resolved. It's not a nice feeling.
