Today I left work early and came home to Watch The Football. This was a conversation with the boss that initially started out as a negotiation to be allowed to stay in work but watch it silently on my computer. Instead I was immediately offered the afternoon off, to which I said 'YES PLEASE' which is a bit silly when I need to the money but hell, my job is depressing at the moment so some time off went down fabulously.
Anyway, since I was home I ended up watching the football properly, with my Dad, shouting at the TV screen. We won and all which was a bit of a bonus. The entire street went mad around me, you could hear the shouting and the vuvuzelas, which are annoying on the telly but just deliciously surreal on a surburan street.
Now I am attempting to finish of a job application. As per usual.
