Today I have been all about the capitalism. I came through the door howling 'I HAVE BOUGHT ALL OF LIVERPOOL' and Mum looked very disappointed when I only had three bags. For me, that is a lot of shopping! The only things I didn't get on my personal list was shorts (I can't find any nice ones) and some sort of nifty hat for holiday purposes. I have an enormous head. One day I will open up a hat for shop before people that don't fit into hats and all of us freakish-headed people can band together and wear well fitted hats.

Still, though, I have bought some summery stuff including a swimming costume and a dress, my sister's birthday present and two Glee CDs that were on sale, so not a wasted day. I'm not sure if I'm odd like this, quite happy to bumble around and go shopping by myself. I like going with other people - particularly [livejournal.com profile] stupidore who has some sort of ability to make me buy stuff - but I am really quite content to bumble around for a bit and have lunch in a cafe with a book. I'm happy with my own company, I suppose. After a time I like seeing other people, but my job is all about having to talk to people where I want to or not, so a weekend of relative peace and solitude is a nice respite, although I'm not sure if I'm being truly solitary if I'm fighting off three other women for a changing room in Primark.

More importantly, however, I came home in time to watch Clash of the Titans on the telly and even as an adult I am still amazed by the special effects.

Tomorrow I am getting my hair cut and then I may go swimming. Once again I am living the graduate dream.

I also find that all the hats are TOO SMALL.

I like shopping alone too! No one to rush you or make you feel guilty for taking ages looking at one thing. And you can go to the same shop three times in one day if you're feeling indecisive.

My head has CORNERS. Most hats aren't made for square heads, so I sympathise; it took me a very long time to find a decent summer hat.

Why do people not make hats for us people who have HEADS STUFFED WITH BRAINS and also LARGE CURLY HAIR. (That is my excuse and I will stick with until the day I die.)

Exactly! Also, it means I don't have to hang around waiting for other people, as I am hideously impatient sometimes. Everyone wins!

I have no corners, I just have an unusually large head! It is MOST ANNOYING.
