hathycolI am only just awake and poking the internet in an attempt to remain awake. I have no idea why I slept for so long last night, or indeed why I'm so exhausted this morning. Ugh. My last dream was a really unsettling one. Maybe that was my mind's way of saying 'IT'S GONE 11, GET OUT OF BED.'
I got my hair cut yesterday. It's too short. From some angles it's cute; from others it's just a bit daft. Once it's got a little bit longer, all will be well, but right now I can't even tie it back. It's not actively bad, mind you, and pinned behind the ears it's stick with the moniker of 'cute' but there we go. Moral of the story: don't give up booze for a month, you were probably better just trimming it yourself with kitchen scissors. Well, I know for next time. The real pest is that I can't just roll out of bed and style it; it'll need briefly attacking with water first. Oh well. The advantage of it being short is that it'll take less time to brush, at least.
Today I have to go to the gym and very little else. I shall experiment with hairstyles. Failing that, hats.

(Though it doesn't help that a hairdresser once MASSIVELY insulted my previous hairstyle and didn't even seem to realise.) I quite want to cut my own hair again - hey, it worked fine last time! - except that I have no-one in the house to check and tidy any ends I can't see.

Date: 2011-02-20 04:56 pm (UTC)I have The Fear when it comes to hairdressers, simply because so few have any conception of what to do to curly hair. To be fair to the lady who did my hair this time, she's done a really good job; the back of my head looks amazing, but the front of my hair has sprung up more than it normally does for reasons no one is quite sure of, so it's a bit... um. This hairdresser was good, but now I've got the layers put in to an extreme level previous experience tells me that all I'll need to do for the next year is to trim it periodically. Thank god for that!
