hathycolSO TODAY I SPOKE TO CRAIG REVEL-HORWOOD OFF STRICTLY COME DANCING!
No, really. It was SUPER EXCITING. I came into work and there was an e-mail from a customer (not unusual) explaining a problem with an order and that he'd put down the wrong address. Again, not unusual and easy to fix. At the end of the e-mail was a little note asking us to phone him back to confirm receipt of the e-mai, signed 'Craig Revel-Horwood'.
It was M who got this e-mail, not me, but it arrived just as I got into work. "I'M PHONING HIM," I shrieked. "GIVE ME THAT NUMBER."
So I phoned, asked "Hello, can I speak to Mr Revel-Horwood?" and he cheerfully answered "It is I!"
(No one believes me on that detail, but genuinely, that was how he responded.)
I'm not proud of this, but I actually made a little nervous giggle before I went on to assure him we had sorted the problem. I sort of don't want to do into the problem too much as it involves address details (and yes, we did Google his house) but I got a cheerful "Thank you darling!" and a reasonably long conversation.
Honestly, last week Liz off Atomic Kitten and today Craig Revel-Horwood. The excitement is OVERWHELMING. Three years I've been picking up the phone and answering e-mails to the general public and the best I'd gotten so far was a Daily Mail sub-editor, up until today. Seriously, this is my best day in work for a LONG, LONG TIME.
Tomorrow I have a job interview, so that's going to be an exciting story if they ask. With any luck I'll know soon about my other job interviews - I was meant to know about one today, but note the silence.
