hathycolThis morning I went to get the Victoria line to work, which is basically the only way I can get into central London. I waited, and I waited, and I waited, and the train at the platform got fuller and fuller and then a very tired sounding driver told the waiting passengers that it might be better finding an alternative way into work.
So upstairs I tramped, and met Richie on the way (he had left the house 10 minutes before I had, for reference) and we got on the Overground to Barking, which is quite far out. At Barking, we waited for a very long time for a train due to a points failure. We got on the train at 9am. (Please note I had left the house at 8.55am.) We realised after two stops that we were going the wrong way. At Dagenham we waited for basically forever to finally get the train into central London.
I got into work at 9.45am, howling apologies and vilification unto Transport for London. Ah well.
