There are times when London is very hard, when I have a long train journey home and all I want to do is sleep, and my shoes are pinching and sore.
And then there are days when I decide to walk home to Embankment as the sun is setting, and I remember that my shoes are the patent leather Mary-Janes I've been wanting since I was probably about six and everything just feels marvellous.
Work is going well. For long and various reasons my workload is about to explode on Monday, so in theory I should enjoy my milder quieter times. I'm quite looking forward to it getting busy, though, and learning various new bits and bobs. The only thing I think I would like would be finishing at 5pm rather than 5.30pm - it makes such a difference with the amount of time I have in the evening!
