Here are some other things it is worth discussing.

1. I went to see Made in Dagenham last week - the musical. I went for free with college because I am at Barking and Daganham College and HR-handwavey. It was awesome, you guys. It was working class feminism, Harold Wilson being the comic relief (YES REALLY) and some great tunes. I cannot recommend it enough. I mean, genuinely, it was marvellous. GO GO GO.

2. I am now in correspondence with Stella Creasy, who is both my MP and a generally awesome lady. My GP is being fucking awful, you see. I have not had a period in four months, and that's after they chilled out and settled down when I came off the Pill, not least because I couldn't get a sodding doctor's appointment. I am also hilariously pale and desperately tired most of the times. I am not pregnant, or at least I wasn't last Monday when I took my sixth pregnancy test. (I go to different chemists to make them think I don't have a terrible fertility problem.) I am probably not menopausal. All in all I need to see a GP. It's not urgent, but it does Need Looking At. I can't get an appointment for love nor money. You can only book 48 hours in advance. You can only book on the day. There are no times this week. Go to the walk-in clinic. (I have now tried this. They won't see me, either.) I phoned today and cried and harangued and fucking finally I have an appointment in just over two weeks that it will be difficult to wrangle time off but not impossible. In the meanwhile, another pregnancy test week as part of my policy to take one every two weeks Just In Case.

ZIPPEDY DOO DAH.

Anyway. I went mad on Twitter on Friday and my MP got in touch and asked me to send her an e-mail, so I did. I'm still going to switch surgeries but I'll get this blasted thing looked at first. I might be all okay but, well, It Needs Looking At.

3. Wolf Hall is the best thing on telly. It's magnificent. It's like someone poked a camera inside my head whilst I was reading it. You need to watch it, even if you've not read the books. Although, you know, you should read the books as well.

4. I have also been watching a lot of Brooklyn 99! It's brilliant as a lot of people have already told me.

...

Okay, that's about it for now. Exhaustion reigns supreme again tonight. I went into work at 7.50am to try and get caught up before I waited on the phone for 45 minutes to get through the doctor's surgery.

...so, this is pretty much no use now that you've got an appointment, but that sounds like anaemia (at least the pale & tired bit). Taking iron supplements is unlikely to ham & may in fact help? Apologies if I am the bazillionth person to say this. Or even just the tenth. (I don't know where the cut off is, don't ask.)

Um. Feel better, you. *hugs* I'm glad you finally have an appointment, and hooray for your MP.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine! It's so great.

My place of education never pays for me to go to musicals. I feel cheated.

The health stuff sounds miserable - I'm sorry it's been stressful and your GP practice has been so unhelpful. I used to be a GP receptionist, and appointment-booking systems are always tricky, but a situation where booking an appointment is so hard is just no good. Good luck with it all.
