hathycolLadies and gentlemen (well, actually just ladies to the best of my knowledge. Yet in RL, the majroity of my close friends are male. Proof that I'm a different person on the Net), guess where I am....
I'm at home.
"So what?" you all cry. Oh, how fickle you are. I am at home where, for two weeks, there has been no computer.
Well. Now you're all interested, ain't ya?
Yes, WE HAVE OUR COMPUTER BACK!!!!!! And guess what? We haven't lost ANY of the contents! Including all my fic and stuff!!! When Dad told me that, I burst into tears. I was literally sobbing in relief- I have a rough copy of The Project written down, and a draft on disk somewhere, but The Project is over 300 hand written pages long. I wasn't willing to type over a third of it up again.
AND a ten page fanfic I was working on, and had just finished when it all went wrong is still there. Here's the best part: I was going to enter it into The Library of Moria competition (Make Love, Not War) but I thought I'd missed the deadline, what with no computer and all. THE DEADLINES BEEN EXTENDED!! I can still enter it! Yeehaw!! I've just hopped around the house cheering about that!
Question of day: What does it say about me as a person that I'm hystericaly excited about getting to enter a competition, but the fact I'm leaving school tomorrow FOREVER has yet to raise a smile? Yuppy doodle, I'm leaving tomorrow. Well. I have to go back for exams, plus there's the joy of Thursday (music stuff I need to go in for) but it's all shirt signing and crying and hugging and photos tomorrow. Am in denial, I think. Will hit me tomorrow. Maybe.
Actually, I'm still in denial about leaving primary school.
But hey, lets not get all morose. I have my computer back *huggles screen* I missed you lot!
Actually, I really really did. Got a letter from Kelly from jackfic today- an actual posted letter, with a good luck note for my GCSEs and a sticker saying "Normal people worry me".
