Audition...

hathycolFor the sheer irony of it, I'd like to post what I originally said about yesterday audition.
Friday and Saturday are auditions for dancing, which we all have to do, even though it's OBVIOUS who gets what! (I'm acting, Laura'll do a ballet solo, Natalie'll get the stuff with the lil kids... even the teacher knows! Stupid EQUALITY!) Sigh.
Well well well. It was slightly more competitive than that. The dancing stuff had actually already been decided, so it was simply a pure acting thing. Quite literally every single kid over the age of nine turned up to audition for all four roles that were available.
I auditioned for the role of the teacher, Mrs Bat. By doing a monologue. After wandering around on stage, overacting and ranting away to myself THREE TIMES (dumbass callbacks) we all got called into the hall and told the results...
Not good news really. Kinda gutted.

BECAUSE I GOT THE PART!!!!!!!!!!
Did a fool ya? Probably not...
Anyway, another girl from my class got the part of "Jessica" so we'll be rehersing together on the Friday, when my tap lesson normally is. I'm kinda looking forward to it. I think it'll be a lotta fun. And I'll get a chance to be in the limelight in dancing for a change, considering I'm normally "Third one down in the back row" since I have a lot of trouble picking up dances first time around, and it's easier for me to learn while standing at the back...
And the very best part?
I don't have to be the Saved By The Bell dance. (Show's about a school, or something like that. I ain't seen the script yet) This is because, straight after that dance, I run in, down the centre aisle, and will not have time to get changed and make it to the back of the room. Yay!
Anyway, I'll scoot now. Have to revise. Namarie! ~Hathy_Col~
