Last night, at bout 8, I got to the point of "sod this." I like the evening in the summer, when it's all warm and glowy but not too hot. Just, literally, for the sheer hell of it sorted out backpack with what I needed (book, water, CD player, purse, mobile) stuck The Two Towers soundtrack, announced to Mum I was going out and I'd be back before it got dark and I marched out of the door with no real purpose.

The great part about where I live, as in specifically my road, in that you can go two ways. You go one way, you're into the Park, and then into town. You go the other way, and you're into the green belt. I ended up wandering around Ormskirk's green belt, with my CD player blasting, for hours and hours, and it wasn't until I checked my watch when the sunk finally set under the horizon that I realised it at 10 to 10 and Mum was probably already panicking.

Eventually sauntered in at 10, if only for the reason that Mum really would panic, and felt VERY good about myself.

Plan to do the same at some point over the next week. This summer, I will mostly be- walking! Hopefully.
