Bah. I wrote the fic. I finished the fic, unable to bear another installment of Eastenders. And now I've typed up the fic, without the aid of a decent word processor no less.

Don't hurt me.

Spoilers for OoTP, mildly kinky R rated shenanigans lie ahead. (Oh, and since they went
a year after Sirius went to Azkaban, I thought the Lestranges would have been there for 13 years. Please correct me if I'm wrong)

For [livejournal.com profile] loneraven. Cos she made me, I tell you!

Time acted strangely, Bellatrix mused as the wind whipped through her matted hair. Supposedly, it had been thirteen years. Thirteen years since Bellatrix had entered Azkaban. Thirteen years spent locked inside a tiny room and her own head, suffering... The lines around Bellatrix's mouth tightened. The suffering was nothing in comparison to what her Master would wreak on those who had incarcerated her.

It hadn't felt like thirteen years. It felt like eternity, stretched out into one long day, punctuated by mechanical sleeping and eating. Thirteen years! If no one had told her, she might never have believed it.

Belief alone had kept her alive. She had forgotten everything, every thought, feeling, emotion and sensation, and remembered only her iron-clad belief, her knowledge that her Master would rise again. It had kept her and her companions alive, that single belief.

Yes. It was a good belief. But certain... memories were good to be able to access again. And now, on the boat speeding them away from Azkaban, Bellatrix was remembering, an occasional thrill tingling through her body as emotions and sensations flooded back to her. Sometimes she would share a glance with Rodolphus, who was standing a little way away with his brother Rabastan. Judging by the hunger in his eyes, Rodolphus remembered too.

No words were spoken between the couple as the night wore on, as the newly-freed Death Eaters reached land and made it to the current location of their Master. The Dark Lord didn't come and speak to them, not yet. Bellatrix didn't understand why, but she was glad as they were led to a small room, her and Rodolphus alone and together for the first time in thirteen years, separated only by a gap of maybe three foot.

Staring at him, she raised an eyebrow. "You've changed," she said bluntly, taking in his gaunt figure.

"So have you," he replied simply. He took a step closer to her. "You're different in my memories."

Bellatrix stepped forward. "Then you remember too," she said. It was a statement, not a question. "Every thought, every feeling..."

"Every sensation," he finished, a sudden fire in his eyes. "Thirteen years."

She laughed hollowly. "Thirteen years apart. Once, we would have thought that was an eternity."

He grabbed her wrist, and more memories flooded Bellatrix. They had always been evenly matched. Tenderness was not for Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange, and especially not tonight. Rodolphus moved his face closer to hers. "Why do you make it longer then?" he growled in a low tone, and brought his lips to hers in a crushing embrace. Never one for yielding to another, not even her own husband, Bellatrix responded with equal passion, roughly pushing her mouth against his and nipping his lower lip. Rodolphus made a guttural sound in his throat and violently pushed Bellatrix back against the cold wall, unceremoniously slipping a hand under her dirty robes. Gasping, Bellatrix's back arched. How could she have forgotten this?

As Rodolphus pushed her further up the wall, she split his robes at the shoulder, nipping along the smooth curve of his collarbone. The stones in the wall scraped across her back, the pain mingling with the pleasure. Bellatrix allowed her head to fall back as a low inhuman sound escaped her.

Thirteen years, a day, eternity... however long it had been, it had definitely been too long.

I'm not super happy with it, to be honest, and I need a better ending. But... Oh well. Exorcised a few demons, anyway. :-)
