I needed to get that out of the way because he's not on the internet *gasp* but left a slightly pissy comment last night. Don't ask about the Keira Knightley thing, it's born out of Bloom-jealousy and sheer immaturity on both sides.
I was an Intellectual and an Early Riser today. This is very true in one sense, and a complete lie in the other. I actually woke up at 11.00, and got out of bed which is something of an achievement. I have to be up at 9.30 tomorrow for my interview. Yuck. But 11.00 is a good two hours earlier than the time I normally surface, so I feel proud.
Intellectual? Well, not by even my during-term standards, but I haven't lifted a finger, schoolworky wise, since June 17th. Fanfiction has kept my English brain alive and kicking, so the English homework was easy. But history...
I trailed down to the library, sat down, got a book which looked promising: "An Encyclopedia Of British History." Aha! I thought. That should easily yield the results for six facts about Henry VII and the names of the Tudor and Stuart monarchs!
In the books favour, it was very in depth on the subject of Henry VIII, and I already knew the Tudors- I spent a year on them in Primary school and it's stuck since then. However, the Stuarts are a new thing for me... I'm not sure how, but I managed to skip them and the Civil War in every school I've been too. And the book I was using just ASSUMED that I knew things, and so the Stuarts became a bit of a mystery.
So, eventually, I found four names (in thier English forms) which were- James I, Charles I, Charles II and James II. Where there any more Stuart kings, or did it go onto the Oranges, which was what I basically gathered? Help!
Media Studies tomorrow, and Politics after that. I have this sorted. I just need to bully my brain into working again...
You can tell September is a bad month. After a good run of calender pages (Gimli! Legolas! Eowyn!) it's now Wormtongue month. Oh, yay.
