(no subject)

Something occured to me, about half an hour ago. And only now am I sort of thinking about putting it down in word, because it's a very scary notion.

I'm not doing a dance A-Level. This means...

I have no reason to continue dancing.

None. At all. Why should I put myself through the sheer hell that is advanced level, why should I struggle as The Crap One At The Back Of The Class, why should I be with people who, well, I don't dislike but I'm not uber-keen on, why should I be paranoid about my weight because of leotards, why should I give up my Saturdays?

Then of course, there are a few reasons why I should... I'm mates with Laura, I've been dancing for ten years, I need the exercise, it's a release, it looks good on my CV...

But do they outweigh the reasons why I shouldn't?

This is a choice I really don't want to make. But I think it's getting to the point where I'll have to. I'll go and see what dance is like on Saturday (Saturday? Surely it can't be that soon). And then I might actually have to make a decision.

Wibble, people.
