Firstly:

I have a new baby cousin. Her name is Chloe, she was born this morning at 8.15, she lives in Dudley, she weighed in at 6'10, she's got curly black hair and apparently she's a little sweetie.

Of course, my Nan is biased, and it's her we've heard it all through. Both her and Dot are fine, and Mum is getting broody again. Oh dear. I got a text message about it while I was sturggling through Hellish History Essay (more on that later) and squeaked merrily around the library. It's all good news, cos it was a hellish pregnancy.

They're starting to give me actual work in college. We have a politics essay. I also have a history essay, which is gonna be tricky. And I just know that media studies will get landed on me tomorrow. Plus, Colleen has been stupid today! Went to the magazine meeting with

flickerswitch and stupidly said "Sure, I'll write something for next week!" So, at some point over the next week, I have to write an essay on science-fiction fans. Note to self- never let teachers know that you are 'different' because they target you for 'different' projects. However, with Tolkien Versathon and now this, I appear to be doomed eternally.

Now, for my article, I have to ask you all something:

1. Have you ever had any bias against you for being a science-fiction fan?

2.Do you feel we are unfairly portrayed in the media?

3. Why are you a fan?

4. What, do you feel, are the benefits of being a fan?

So yeah. Answer is you feel like it, you'd be doing me a favour.
