Am home alone, which hasn't actually happened for a while since I leave before anyone else and am the last home every day. Today, however, Mum and Megan have done down to see Dot and the baby, Dad's at work until two, so it's just me, the dog, and a CD for a while then. Yay! Was up at 9.30 again though, which is annoying. This time, I woke up because of Megan fecking singing up the stairs, and as such I immediatly realised that I really needed a drink and my throat really hurt, which generally cues a spluttering coughing fit since, frankly, it itches more than anything else after a drink of cold water. So, as I stop spluttering and snuggle back down to sleep for another two hours, Mum bellows through the door.

"ARE YOU OKAY?"
"Mmm..."
"WHAT?"
"mm fine..."
"HUH?"
"I'M FINE BUT I'D BE BETTER IF SOMEONE WOULD LET ME SLEEP!"
"Oh, okay, we're leaving now, your Dad'll be home at two, the dog's downstairs, are you sure that you're okay?"

Gave in and rolled out of bed. Not happy, really. Had a very bizarre dream about Stargate, for the first time in a while, something about a slave colony and the SG team helping them out. (Name the episode, theres a few!)

Okay. I go getting all Stargatey fangirly, because dude, season 7, and while watching Dead Like Me (more on that later) they advertised the Lowdown. So, obviously, lots of fangirly shrieking and thinking "OOOOH! Two hours of Stargatey goodness!" When I check the paper this morning for listing, it's only The Lowdown that's on. So no new season 7. *cue fangirly wailing* Not fair.

So, Dead Like Me. Wowser, but I can see why SFX reviewed it so positively. I liked it muchly. It had a very wry sense of humour, not laugh out loud but just funny. The main character dies because Mir breaks up in orbit and a toilet seat hits her on the head. It's strange and bizarre, and yet it works. And there was a few other bits of it like that too. And then it's kinda sad, too, and it's a bit scary due to the Gravelings and I really do like it. If I get to the end of the season, and I'm still positive, an it's not been cancelled (after American Gothic, I'm not risking anything) I think I'll come out as a fan. Possibly.

Although, for those that care, the Gravelings really reminded me of the Pirate Monkey from POTC when you saw them from a distance. Very, very strange.

And as for American Gothic... huh. I Don't Like Gail, and I never have. I Don't Like Billy Peel Because He Usurped Dr Matt and also because he looks a little like Scott Bakula. So an entire episode, basically, about them messing with the perfect chemistry between Selena and Lucas made me very annoyed. But then it ended, and it was all okay. Just about. Shame they missed out three episodes I quite fancied seeing, though. And if they show it in order, as in the one that's supposed to come next week, thn Lucas dies. And then I'll really be distraught.

I feel kinda grotty still. Not ill, as in the type that makes you want to lie down and cry becausr your head's spinning and your tempature won't sort itself out and you can't see straight, I just keep on coughing and my throat hurts. It's irritating, more than anything esle, especially when you know the scientific reason for it. Stop destroying the cells in my throat, little white blood cells! Go! Find the anti-bodies!

This is a long and pointless post, isn't it?

Try this. Hope it works, it's that online TV guide thingy. Scroll down to 20.00 on Sky One, and it should be there

Hope you're feeling better soon =o)
