Oct. 20th, 2003 04:11 pmMy Bad Day is improving by the consumption of large amounts of tea and chocolate, by the fact I've got the Rammstein on repeat (hier commst die sonne, don't ya know) and by the fact I'm amusing myself hugely by reading Legolas/Gimli slash.
The humourous stuff is fantastic, though.
"No!" The word was roared loud enough to wake the dead. "No son of mine goes mincing through the treetops like that Haldir of Lor-" He broke off, aghast. "Please tell me it's not Haldir of Lorien," he whispered.
Poor Thranduil and Gloin. They seem to suffer the most in these stories.
Reading one at the moment called Parental Consent, which is a glorious mixture of English humour and Tolkien. I've actually seen the line "Good luck, our kid", spoken by the OC, named Naldorian. This translates to "Son Of A Beech."
Yeah, I laughed too.
So, I'm feeling much more cheerful now, and I plan to make a coherant post now.
I watched Gladiator last night, which I haven't seen by a while. It really does have a distinct Pirates Of The Caribbean soundtrack. (I know it's technically the other way round.) I taped Henry VIII to do so, as well, so I'll be watching that in a while. Unfortunately, Gladiator is a bad film for me to watch. I am still really, really hormonal and liable to cry at the strangest little things. I burst into tears at the end of Gladiator. I really did.
I hope to God it's not a traumatic Stargate, because I'll be wailing my little heart out otherwise. Which just is not a pretty thing for me. I don't cry nicely.
I'll stop spamming you nice people now.
